Our first visit here and we enjoyed it very much. Friendly staff, great beer selection, their smash burger is awesome. Very nice indoor and outdoor atmosphere, family & dog friendly. It would be nice if they could pipe some music outside.

Probably the staple brewery in the area aside from Savage Craft. Huge space both indoors and outdoors — plenty of room to relax and enjoy a few pints. The beers were solid across the board, but the standout was definitely the Hefeweizen — lighter than expected and something I’d love to savor regularly. Would love to see this place at full capacity, but even on a quieter day, it’s absolutely worth the stop!

Cool place! Very busy but plenty of seating. Good food and beer. There's a big stage where live music was playing. It was really cool on a nice 70 degree evening in January

Great brewery with a very large Tasting Room. We went on a Saturday afternoon while on a day trip to Columbia. We searched for breweries in the area and saw that Steel Hands has good reviews so we decided to give it a try. We realized that we had probably done well when we pulled up and it was hard to find a parking spot in a very large parking lot. My two buddies and I are in a Homebrew Club and are all quite familiar with the beer making process. We were all quite impressed with their beers and the atmosphere was very lively. Cheers!

Great atmosphere, great drinks, great appetizers. I cannot complain about a single thing I experienced here. I wish I lived closer, this would probably be a go to spot for me.

Steel Hands was a great time! I can't say enough good things about the way that they've ingratiated themselves into the local community! I went on a special Gamecock night, and there were tons (I'd guess hundreds) of people decked out in Gamecock gear, and they had local journalists there to provide insights into the upcoming college football season. It was really a sight to see. In addition to that, they had a great live music band, who played a lot of great country music hits. Finally, their craft beer is great, and I loved their IPAs. Overall, five (5) stars for Steel Hands, for a variety of reasons! I hope they'll be in Columbia for years to come!

Had an amazing time for dinner! Had a flight and the best margarita ever! Seriously! Just ask Dexter to make you his signature Dex Merita! So delicious! We had the lemon pepper wings, Mac n cheese bites, bang bang shrimp, and my son had the steel hands smash burger with fries! All were delicious!! And definitely try the pecan brown ale!! On top of that the best service! Huge outdoor sitting areas! Easy wheelchair access for my brother! Lots of fun!

Came here around 2p on a Saturday, with a group of 8 on a cloudy day. Plenty of indoor seating but outside tables and parking were harder to come by. Prettier Than Matt was the band playing at the time, and they’re always entertaining. Staff was friendly and knowledgeable when ordering. I always get a flight so I can try different things. I also ordered a pretzel and avocado tacos with mahi. The food came out in a reasonable amount of time and was hot and fresh. Another band came in later, but I didn’t catch the name. They played mostly 90’s hits and were pretty good. The crowd of mostly Gen X people seemed to fade to a younger crowd by the time we left around 6p. Steel hands is always a great way to spend an afternoon with friends, good music, good beer and food! Lots of well behaved dogs. The only thing of note was that a couple in our party are not big beer drinkers. They were looking for a cider, which they don’t have, so opted for wine instead. Also available are cocktails.

We needed a lunch stop between Charlotte and Hilton Head, and this was perfect. Just a little off the highway with a decent sized gravel parking lot, plenty of seating (indoor and out), great for dogs and kids, this was an easy stop. We loved the west coast IPA, and tried a few others. Everyone enjoyed their food - the fried avocado tacos are worth a try! Gorgeous afternoon with lots of folks who had finished a race, great staff, and clean bathrooms.

I had lunch today at Steel Hands Brewing on a beautiful afternoon with a friend. The environment was very pleasant and relaxing, with the option to enjoy the outdoor seating area, which we chose. The weather was perfect with a nice breeze, and it made for a great place to sit, talk, and enjoy the day. One thing I really appreciated was the hospitality. Jeff from management came over to greet us and even asked if we thought it was time to turn on the outdoor fans since we were sitting in the sun. That level of attentiveness made the experience feel very welcoming. The food was absolutely yummy. I had the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw. I didn’t eat the bread, but the pulled pork and slaw were still delicious and full of flavor. My friend had the chicken strips with fried sweet potato fries, which looked amazing as well. To make the afternoon even better, we were able to enjoy live music from the Abbey Elmore Band. Abbey has a beautiful voice, and the music added such a great atmosphere to the whole experience. Overall, it was a beautiful day, great food, great music, and excellent hospitality. I’ll definitely be back!
